Creative Treasures By Wendy

Something for everyone.

There is a quilt and quilting project that is suitable for all family members and will be treasured by many.

Treasured Country Table Runner

CTW 02

Finished size approx - 16" x 60

A quick and fun project; the country table runner is made up of three colors - the outside color being the accent fabric.

So many different color ways can be successfully achieved...it's also perfect for creating a seasonal runner.

My suggestion is to pick your outside fabric first, then your two inside co-ordinating fabrics. Shadow quilt, stitch in the ditch to complete, and for the country look, I've hand quilted country hearts in each of the center diamonds. The heart template is included in the pattern.

This pattern can also be made shorter, and placemats can also be created.

Ladybug and Her Lovebug

CTW 03

Finished size approx 31 1/2" x 31 1/2"

Some will insist that Ladybugs are very lucky! Well how lucky it is that you can have LadyBug and her LoveBug hanging around your house all the time!

I made this for my granddaughter - and when it was done, my friends said they wanted a copy too! This can be made as a wall hanging, expanded into a quilt, or made into mini wall quilts. Applique technique.

Shoe-In-Love

CTW 04

Finished size approx - 27 1/2" x 29 1/2"

Besides diamonds - shoes are a girl's best friend! For those who love shoes - this wall hanging is just perfect.

It can be made as shown, or you can make separate mini wall hangings to hang in different areas of your home.

Applique technique is used with sashing and borders to finish.

Roses 'Round My Log Cabin

CTW 05

Finished size approx - 20" x 40"

The tradition of the beautiful log cabin, enhanced with lattice work and applique long stem roses makes a beautiful table center, or a breath taking wall hanging.

Roses 'Round My Log Cabin II

CTW 06

Finished size approx 20" x 40"

A sister to the pattern above; this elegant wallhanging or table center has a more simplistic border, beautifully adorned with the long stemmed roses.

Ultimate Quilter's Tote

CTW 07

The Ultimate - The absolute quilter's friend! This tote has pockets to hold rulers, patterns, fabric, supplies and even your cutting mat!

Country Braid Runner - Series 1

CTW 10

Finished size approx - 22" x 52"

The first of my Quilt as You Go series.

A wonderful project that you quilt as you go, when you have finished your quilt - you are quilted - just put on your binding and you are finished!

Full illustrated instructions help you through the entire project.

Lucky Seven Treasured Raggy

CTW 11

Finished size approx 54" x 69"

Seven - the number most people pick as being lucky.

This raggy quilt features 7 colors to make 7 small sections to create one big block. The blend of color in this method is amazing and it's so difficult to tell where each block is.

It makes a very large sofa throw, or a nice cozy twin bed quilt.

Made of soft flannel front and back, you can't resist cuddling under this raggy quilt.

Just The Braid Runner - Series 2

CTW 12

Finished size approx - 22" x 50"

The second in the Quilt as You Go series. For those who love to see the drama the braided fabric creates without the interruption of borders.

This quilt also features the diamond accents coming out of the center fabric.

Full illustrated instructions guide you from start to finish, and when you are finished you are quilted!

Just add your binding and you are ready for show and tell.

Treasured Country Charms

CTW 13

Finished size approx - 70" x 95"

A great looking "heritage" quilt, made simply with charms.

A great stash buster quilt or you can purchase the charm paks I've created which include the 140 charms you need to build the quilt - add your borders - quilt and bind and you are done!

A great project for mom and the kids to work on together, and build their heirloom as a family.

Roads to Treasured Friends (A Jelly Roll Quilt)

CTW 14

Finished size approx - 72" x 95"

When I fly over the prairies, it always intrigues me how the farm fields have such amazing designs that decorate the earth.

This pattern was jointly created by myself and Peggy, and it captures what I see from the window of the airplane... and all roads lead to our treasured friends.

One Jelly Roll and one fat quarter plus borders creates this beautiful quilt.

My Baba's House (A Jelly Roll Quilt)

CTW 15

Finished size - 50" x 60"

Baba the Ukrainian name for Grandma.

In my shop a beautiful piece of my heritage adorns one of the corners - my Baba's Treadle Sewing Machine. So I created a Jelly Roll quilt that is done log cabin fashion and it sits on my Baba's Treadle.

The quilt is a throw size quilt - perfect for the sofa and watching TV, and absolutely the best size for young toddlers to keep forever.

My Baba's House Too

CTW 16

Wallhanging size approx - 47" square plus a pillow

Sometimes things just have to be in black and white!

The companion to the original My Baba's House; Log cabin styling in black and white!

I chose to do the mirror image layout for this wall hanging, and with the four blocks left over, I made a throw cushion to accessorize and accent.

Of course you can change the layout to include all the blocks and create a throw for the sofa that will finish approx 50" x 60".

Sweet Babys Treasured Raggy

CTW 17

Finished size approx 43" x 56" Yes, you guessed it. From the Lucky Seven quilt on display, customers were asking me to calculate what they would need to just make a baby quilt.

So here's the pattern with all the calculations. This makes a large baby quilt, but I believe that if you make a sweet baby quilt, you want it to go with them from the crib to their youth bed.

This quilt on display was made from Camelot Dreamsicle Flannel, and it's so soft and dreamy - your sweet baby will keep this quilt when he/she leaves home for college!

Mountain Reflections

CTW 18

Finished size approx - 89" x 95" I was born and raised in Southern Alberta, and I could see the mountains from my bedroom window. Now living in south eastern Saskatchewan,

I needed to create the mountains in fabric; I can now see them everyday again. A joint project between myself and Peggy, we created Mountain Reflections.

This quilt can tell two stories, depending on which way you place the blocks. As shown is the mountains, if you reverse it, it's the mountain's reflections.

A great "guy" quilt. Open to endless color ways.

Luv n Stars Country Treasure

CTW 20

(58" X 66")

I love hearts and I also love stars! A perfect quilt to use with Jelly Roll strips; or select your own fabric colours and make it totally scrappy. Quick and easy quilts throw which has a mix of piecing and appliqué.
