This notebook styled organizer has a finished size of 9" x 11" x 2" when closed and 18" x 11" when open. Ideal for applique-ers. Holds 72 spools of Metrosene or Gutermann sized spools. This handy organizer allows you to access each spool individually while seeing your whole collection at one time. Each spool is held securely in place with an elastic band, regardless of the amount of thread left on the spool. Velcro closure.

NOTE: For a variation on the inside pocket, make a small Perfect Pouches LGD 113 without the batting. Sew in place by topstitching close to the edge on both side edges and the bottom edge. This will leave the top edge free, creating a second pocket behind the pouch. If needed, reinforce the lining fabric with some interfacing or an extra piece of fabric. Don’t forget to add something fun to the zipper pull.

The Katy Bags pattern was named by Diane Salera and Laurie Sengo, owners of Cloth Carousel in Winters, CA. Cloth Carousel won the grand prize in the Laziest Shop in America challenge in 2004 and were given the opportunity to name this pattern due to their big win.
